I am having the greatest time living in Saudi Arabia. It has given me the opportunity to fulfil dreams of traveling to places like Dubai, India, Sri Lanka, Portugal, Bahrain, Spain, Abu Dhabi, Oman, Italy, Morocco and the Philippines. Not only have I managed to fit in all this traveling but I have enjoyed studying again, gaining new confidence in my writing, and believing that anything is possible and that life really does begin again at 50. As I now approach 60 I am already looking for new adventures and have set up my bucket list for when I leave in 3 years time. I am currently reading and writing my way through a book called The Life Plan by Shannah Kennedy. I recommend it thoroughly. It’s a way of helping you put your core values in place, to make sure you realise you are capable of doing anything. So take a look and follow one of the quotes in the book by Margaret Young – “Often people attempt to live their lives backwards; they try to have more things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want so they will be happier. The way it actually works is the reverse. You must first BE who you really are, then DO what you need to do, in order to HAVE what you want”. So treat yourself to the book and let it help you focus on becoming the person you want to be no matter how old you are.
